mise-en-scene: blog task

1) Find a distinctive still image and write an analysis of the mise-en-scene. Use each of the aspects you've learned in the lesson.

-The costume on Daniel Craig's character has blood on it ,which may show that he has been fighting with  someone.Furthermore,there are bullet holes in the window of the car he is driving also supports the idea of him fighting with someone.However,even though he seems to be fighting his facial expression show him to be confident,but the lady next to him seems afraid of what is happening.

2) Find TWO film or TV extracts on YouTube from different genres (e.g. horror, sci-fi, costume drama). Embed them in your blog post and write a comparison of the mise-en-scene in each.





-The first clip of Cinderella dancing with prince charming is a setting with bright lights and soothing music,which sets the mode to be calm and relaxing for the characters.However, in the second clip of the movie Scream the setting turns dark with the lights off and no music but instead silence,which sets the surroundings to be suspenseful and eerie.
