Mise-en-scene recreation: Learner response

1) Type up your feedback from your teacher in full.

-Nice choice of scene and clear thought has gone into the mise-en-scene.in particular co-ordinating multiple   actors is not easy.
-Specifically on costume ,the shoes close-up are important in communicating characters/stereotypes and this   could be more faithful to original9not easy to do though!)
-Some good camera work and editing/sound in recreating the original.

2) Type up a summary of the feedback you have had from the rest of the class - bullet points is fine.

-Good acting and movement
-Good choice of location
-Good dialogue
-Accurate angles
-Good lighting
-Costume's could have been better-especially shoes
-Better running
-The scene where the teacher walks out changes meaning-improve that

3) Use all the feedback you've been given to write your own self-assessment of your video using WWW (What Went Well) and EBI (Even Better If...)

WWW:
-I have the perfect concept and have chosen the appropriate subject to make the entire production seem like a recreation.

EBI:
-I need to concentrate on the small things that actually make the reconstruction come to life, such as the movement (running more realistically) and the clothing (the shoes).

4) Now reflect on your own work in more detail. How did your planning (script, shot list) help clarify and develop your ideas?

-It was much simpler to plan each scene independently based on when the camera would cut to it. There weren't many lines in the script, making preparation easy.

5) Thinking technically, how could you improve your work for future videos? (E.g. filming, editing, audio levels etc.)

-I could have planed ahead of time to film and edit which would have given me an opportunity to get the costume and shoes right and edit a bit better9as in the lighting, which was more yellow).

6) Finally, what have you learned regarding the importance of mise-en-scene in film and television? Write a paragraph to answer this.

-When trying to convey mood, mise-en-scene may make or break the effort. The lighting alone makes a strong statement, followed by the outfit, which contributes to the individuality of each character, the set decorating, which communicates enigma codes, and the environment, which provides the scene's first mood. While viewers would feel uneasy, nervous, and frightened in a dark alleyway, they would feel comfortable and safe in domestic situations.
