blog feedback

-WWW: You’ve got some good work on your blog including the most difficult piece of work so far – the practical mise-en-scene recreation. I like the points you make in your learner response and your summary of mise-en-scene. However, there is also some missing work here so we need to use this as a lesson in getting work fully complete.

-EBI: Make sure you check the following and email me when everything is fully up-to-date:

-your film poster task also doesn’t really do what I wanted you to do. The idea was to analyse each poster and suggest what it might be communicating about narrative or audience (even if you don’t suggest the real answer). Getting a summary of each film from the internet basically makes this pointless. Over time, your ability to analyse media texts (particularly unseen texts like these film posters) will be crucial for the 70% exam section of the course.

-LR: Complete the missing/unfinished work and post it to your blog.

-Reflect on your first month of Film & TV Language.

-What aspect of Film & TV language have you most enjoyed studying?
-I enjoy studying about how to read an image and take meanings from it based on the lighting

-What is your strongest piece of work so far?
-My strongest piece of work would be my Mise-En-Scene recreation practical video as i completed it to the best of my abilities and the recreation was nearly accurate.
-What is your weakest?
-The film and tv language: film poster analysis, as I didn't actually give my thought about guessing what the movies may be about, but I have fixed this now.
-What specific skills or knowledge do you need to develop before we start coursework at the end of Year 12?
-I need to start to be more responsible and plan my time out more, so that I have enough time to complete my work instead of leaving it for the last minute
